Fear of Flying

A quick update from Brisbane.  We left Lima Monday night and had a few hours in Toronto, before heading to LA for a 36 hour layover.  We were very productive with our time on the west coast.  Had dinner at Chipotle with an old friend, and then played ultimate LA tourists the next day in a bus that took us to and sometimes too fast past all the sights.  Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive (The "big mistake.  Huge" shop from Pretty Woman), Mullholland Drive, Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Chinese Theatre (handprints and footprints), Kat Von D's tattoo shop, West Hollywood, The Viper Room, a couple of film/music video shoots, Farmer's Market.

Air Canada rocks but Air New Zealand rules.  Mainly for the entertainment possibilities (so many!), legroom and service.  Despite some slight turbulence that still makes me uneasy, I think I may be almost over my fear of flying....Almost.

We're in Australia now for a short month and there is so much to see and do....

Our neighborhood in Lima.  Miraflores.

Sunset in Lima

Love park.  Making out in the grass is encouraged.

Handfeeding the local wildlife.

Miraflores area of Lima.

Somewhere over the west  (USA that is...).

Marina del Ray.  LA.

One of 4 Venice canals.

Venice Beach.  Music video in the making.  Rebecca Fergusen.  Who?

Pole pose.

Beverly Hills cop.

Rodeo Drive area.

Some famous person's former house.  Prince, I think...

Farmers Market.

Self explanatory.

The only one I could find worthy of a duel pic.

Hollywood sign in the background.

Unintentional Abbey Road-like pic.

Our swanky hotel in Santa Monica.

  1. Glad to hear you enjoyed the airline of my people! How does it feel to be back in the English speaking world?

  2. I love the airline of your people! In LA, in Little Mexico, I did feel the urge to speak Spanish to the shop people, but not to be cool, just because it felt natural. Very nice to be in an English speaking country again. Fewer complications...
